We are looking for someone bright, dependable, and energetic to be our go-to resource for web development and design.  Our site is a niche online job board, and we launched in February 2009.  The site is built on drupal, using a variety of open source modules.  As we are trying to grow, enhance our product features and add new ones, our challenge is that the the modules we’ve used are not easily customizable.  To date, we have used non-NYC based firms but we are looking to make a change.  We need someone who is extremely comfortable in and has experience with drupal, such that they can go in and make changes to these modules.  

We anticipate the project will entail 5-10 hours / week.  We are willing to pay up to $40 / hour.  If we like your application, we’ll send you a detailed RFP.

* have confidence that you can customize the modules
* can meet with us at least 2x / week in NYC (flatiron area)

Qualifications:
* Knowlege of browser based technologies (XHTML, CSS, Javascript)
* Familiarity with graphics manipulation for the web (Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Solid PHP / MySQL skills
* Familiarity with the APIs of a variety of contributed modules, including CCK, Views and Organic Groups
* Experience writing modules that integrate or layer on top of existing modules
